SEND CPD that works for you

For new SENCOs, there is a huge amount to do; learning what the needs of the pupils and their families are, developing relationships with staff, liaison with external professionals and of course, processes such as EHCP needs assessment requests and annual reviews. To support you, I have created a range of resources including the "10 Minute EHCP request" saving you a huge amount of time by reducing workload AND ensuing your request is legally compliant.

For more experienced SENCOs, SENCO network groups and Trusts/MATs, I provide bespoke CPD and coaching to develop SEND at strategic level as well as delivering training around SEND law. Please contact me to arrange your complimentary 30 minute connection call to discuss bespoke options.

I can also bring in a combination of my experience as a SENCO (twice, different age ranges), senior leadership in an SEMH setting and Chair of Governors role to support you with developing your SEND audits and setting up internal provision.

If you are a Headteacher or School Business Manager, you will have an acute awareness of the issues relating to "balancing the books" and ensuring pupils get the provision they need. In many schools, SEND is underfunded yet there are laws which you can use to challenge and increase your funding levels.

CPD Options

Are you a SENCO new in post? It is really common for those new to the role to feel unsure of where to begin. You are also the only one in your school so you may not have anyone who knows that role directly and can support you. The New to SENCO course gives you the knowledge you need to be effective in your role from the outset and build your confidence in dealing with the many challenges of the role.

For Heads, SBMs and more experienced SENCOs, you will more than likely have experienced challenges with the LA around Needs Assessment decision making and EHCP funding. The SEND for Heads, SBMs and SENCOs half day CPD supports with both of these significant areas AND offers advice (always based in law) around accessing support for those pupils whose attendance is very low.
